With concern about the spread of infection and patient cross-contamination, AliMed has developed gait belts with infection control options. Antimicrobial-Treated Gait Belts are embedded with silver particles that inhibit the growth and replication of bacteria, molds, yeasts, and other fungi that cause odor, staining, and discoloration. Wipeable Vinyl Gait Belts have a smooth surface and can be safely wiped clean with a spray disinfectant between patients. We also offer Single-Patient-Use Gait Belts that are lower in cost and can be issued directly to the patient and left in their room for all staff to use.
