HORRIBLE PRODUCT

I unfortunately was given this brace at the hospital after I had back surgery on 4/3/24.
If there was a -0 rating that would be too high. The brace actually fell apart while I was wearing it. The entire breast plate detached from the rest of the brace and I am not supposed to be bending forward or twisting and the only reason I didn't fall forward when the breast plate detached was I had a hold of my walker. It took me 2 hours to figure out how to reattach the breast plate to the rest of the brace. The shoulder strap on the right side won't work. The button your suppose to press to release it doesn't work and I was stuck in the brace for hours because the other shoulder strap did the same thing and I couldn't get the brace off. I was about to cut one of the straps with a pair of scissors then the one button finally worked. It is very heavy to lift to put on. The ridiculous pulley system gets caught under the many layers that just flap around they are not attached to anything and you end up having to remove the brace and unhook the pulley then put it back on. The flapped layers sometimes bend in half when you put it on so once again you have to take it off and put in on again. If you have to use the rest room and wait until you have to put this piece of garbage on good luck getting there in time. It moves up and down and left and right when your wearing it. When you sit down with it it moves up and the breast plate ends up hitting you in the chin so you have to take it off pull it down then use the pulley system. You have to do this every time you sit down. Then when you stand up you have to somehow loosen the pulleys while holding onto a walker pull the brace down then reattache the pulleys. When you're walking it moves side ways so the breast plate is no longer in front like its supposed to it ends up moving to the left or right side. Trying to put a jacket on over the brace is impossible because once again it has multi layers that flap around and your jacket gets caught on the top of the back of it. It takes up to 10 to 15 minutes to put your jacket on over it. It is terribly uncomfortable when riding in a car. I ended up calling my insurance company and reporting it falling apart while I was wearing it and asked that they refuse to pay for this. By looking at how this is made its almost like they tried their best to make the worst product possible. Do not purchase this product you will regret it!
