- SorbaFix Absorbable Fixation Systems are intended for the approximation of soft tissue and fixation of surgical mesh to soft tissue during open or laparoscopic surgical procedures such as hernia repairs
- The absorbable tack is deployed via a 5 mm, low profile delivery system
- The tacks are threaded and have a hollow core which allows for tissue ingrowth through the interior of the fastener
- Absorption of the poly (D, L) – lactide (PLA) fasteners is nearly complete at approximately 12 months post implantation, leaving less foreign material behind
