Description
Unique Muscle Stimulator
The 921-Sonicator Plus is unlike any other device in the market. The main feature that sets the Sonicator apart is the ability for adjustments that can be made during treatment. If the treatment becomes too intense or begins to cause discomfort, a clinician can decrease the intensity to provide real-time change. This is due to the constant mode the device goes into when the intensity is adjusted. A full anatomical library is built into the device and it can provide electrode placement and treatment recommendations. A clinician can store more than 200 treatment setups in the device making for a faster setup time.
Device Specifications and Setup
The 921-Sonicator Plus is a lightweight and compact device that offers patients a wide range of benefits. Weighing just under 8 pounds and measuring 13.8” x 10.6” x 5.7” the device easily fits into any office or treatment room. It features two stimulating channels and one ultrasound set to offer additional treatment options. It offers a maximum treatment time of 60 minutes for electrical stimulation or 30 minutes of ultrasound or combination therapy. The device is easy and quick to set up but should be carefully checked before offering treatment. Carefully evaluate the device and electrical connections before connecting the electrode to the patient.
Intended Use
The intended uses of the device include interferential (IF-4), interferential (IF-2), Tens, Microcurrent, Galvanic, EMS, Russian, or DC (direct current) waveform. The ultrasound mode is for relief of pain, muscle spasms, and joint contraction. The electrodes should not be placed on the anterior neck or sinus region, as well as on the chest. Women who are or may become pregnant should not be treated using this device as well as those who have cardiac demand pacemakers. Stimulation should also not be given to patients with implanted electronic devices, patients with metal implants close to the skin, or patients with swelling, infections, and inflamed areas. Be sure to follow all safety instructions for set up, treatment, disconnection, storage, and care to ensure the longevity of the device and most importantly a safe and comfortable treatment for patients.
