Patterson Medical Platform Scales for Wheelchair

It’s a little cumbersome to use. You have to add both scales together to get the weight. It took us a few times to figure out where in the house the scale reads zero every time. It is not easy to zero out the scale because the button is under the platform. The scale face is upside down so that Ames it harder to read. I use my iPhone to snap photos of each scale to make it easier to read. My son added two blocks under the front of it because it tilts down when the chair front wheels enter onto the scale. The way the scale is made there is no way a wheelchair user could weigh themselves without assistance. It does the job now that we have made some modifications and figured out the best place to use it. My husband has to weigh every day. It is definitely a two person job.
