The wire driven jaw construction eliminates the need for string construction which can stretch and break. The easy-to-pull handles have pistol-grip action for comfort in holding and operating. Sure-Lock Reachers have an automatic locking mechanism that holds jaws securely around the object after being retrieved, and releases with a simple flip of the thumb.
