- The StaphTEX Blue kit tests for both the Clumping Factor and Protein A found in S. aureus
- Clumping Factor is detected in both the free and bound form
- The procedure involves placing several colonies within the raised circle on a white latex agglutination card (Cat. no. PL092HD) sold separately
- A drop of the blue latex solution is added and mixed with four inch flat-end mixing sticks (Cat. no. PL091HD) sold separately
- The entire procedure takes less than one minute
